Abstract

ANC repeat visits experienced a significant decline during the pandemic due to maternal concerns about the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The absence of the mother in the visit causes limited information in recognizing the danger signs of pregnancy. This can be anticipated with the WhatsApp Reminder service as a supporting intervention to increase maternal compliance and knowledge. This study aims to determine the effect of WhatsApp Reminder on ANC visit compliance and knowledge of pregnancy danger signs. This pre-experimental study used a one group pre-test post-test design for one group of subjects. Sampling using simple random sampling was 30 respondents in third trimester mothers at Puskesmas 5 Ilir Palembang in June 2021. Collecting data with the MMAS-8 instrument and analyzed using the Marginal Homogeneity test with a significant level of <0.05. The results showed a high level of compliance 60% and good knowledge 74% with p = 0.000.

Abstract

Among other chronic disorders, hypertension the most common chronic degenerative disease. Patient adherence to treatment is critical to the outcome of hypertension treatment. The provision of a digital medication reminder application intervention is one way to improve medication adherence. This study is to determine the impact of using digital smartphone applications to improve self-management of hypertensive patients. Quasi experimental with 2 prospective groups. The number of study samples was 408 patients. The results were descriptive, the control group had a pre post adherence level at the medium level of adherence, with 111 patients (60.66%) and 108 patients (59.02%). Intervention group at the level of adherence pre Middle 143 patients (63.56%), post 161 patients (71.56%) with a high level of adherence Mann Whitney test analysis, showed a significant change in the level of drug adherence in both groups p value of 0.000. Thus, digital smartphone applications can improve drug adherence.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic requires changing the learning system in health education institutions. Delayed laboratory practice makes students less skilled in providing nursing actions. This situation was exacerbated when students were required to conduct clinical learning in practical areas during COVID-19. Lack of knowledge and skills, anxiety about the health of themselves and their families, and the absence of an image of caring for patients directly become challenges. The methods case study focuses on articles conducted during clinical learning at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) X in Jakarta. There were challenges and obstacles when students did clinical learning. Challenges a present internally and externally. Cooperation is needed from both the institution and the field of practice to assist and guide students. However, students must take the initiative and be critical to creating a gradual increase in skills followed by new things learned while in practice.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a multisythemic disorder in pregnancy. Some theories reveal that PE is a result of imuune and hormonal response disorders during pregnancy. In the preeclampsia there is a endothelial dysfunction in the controlling vascular function to respond to blood composition and function disorder as a physical barrier to the exchange of fluid, ion proteins and cells from the blood through the vasculer wall. In addition, there is a decrease in angiogenesis and vasodilatation of blood vessels in response to oxygen pressure and mechanical stress like shear stress. Analyzing the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women in terms of vascular disorders doe to endothelial dysfunction. Design : observational, a cross sectional approach. Probability sampling using random sampling. Statistical analysis logistic regression. Data processing Hosmer and Lemeshow Test. Assumption of the amount of influence a summary model. PE incidence of pregnant woman 94 (6.15%), 53 people (56.4%) PE, 41 (43.6%) PEB.

Abstract

Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) is rupture of membranes more than one hour before onset of labor. One of the complications caused by PROM is asphyxia. The longer the rupture of the membranes the greater the risk of fetal distress. By the rupture of the membranes the amniotic fluid volume decreases and there is an emphasis on the umbilical cord so that there is less supply of oxygen and nutrients to the fetus which causes the newborn to have asphyxia. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the length of premature rupture of membranes during labor with asphyxia of the new born infant in Aura Syifa Kediri Hospital. This study used an observational research design with a Cross Sectional approach.
